WHO ends Sputnik-V crisis endorsement process; Those who take it in Europe and America will be vexed

The attack on Ukraine has come in the way of getting global approval for Russia's corona vaccine Sputnik-V. The World Health Organization (WHO) has given its hand in giving emergency use approval to this Kovid-19 vaccine for the time being. The WHO says that due to sanctions imposed on Russia due to the attack on Ukraine, its team cannot verify the data related to the development of this vaccine. It is also not possible to give approval till the data is verified.

Entry can be stopped in Europe and America, if
emergency use approval is not received from WHO, those people who have taken a dose of this corona vaccine may have to face trouble. Actually, this vaccine has been given emergency use approval by the health regulators of 70 countries of the world at their level. India is also included in this.

The vaccine is being dosed in these countries, but the European Union's health regulator or WHO has not yet approved it. For this reason, those taking the dosage of Sputnik-V during entry in Europe and America have to be disturbed in advance. Now, with the WHO stopping the approval for the time being, it is possible that the European Union and America may stop the entry of those taking this vaccine for some time.

WHO Assistant Director General Dr. Mariangela Simao said, "We had to go to Russia for inspection on March 7. In a news conference in Geneva, Simao said, "We had to postpone this inspection due to the current situation." The agency's inspectors are facing many hurdles like not being able to book flights to Russia and the use of credit cards there being stopped.

Most Western countries have closed their airspace to Russian aircraft after Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24. Also Mastercard and Visa have stopped their services in Russia. Dr. Simao said that after the war is over, a new timetable for inspection will be prepared after looking at the situation.Russian President Vladimir Putin had termed the Sputnik vaccine as a medical breakthrough against Corona, but Russia is failing to follow the procedure to get international approval for this vaccine. After the release of this vaccine in the year 2020, not all research data has been given to foreign health regulators for assessment related to its safety. This data is linked to clinical trials, which contain information about research done during the development of the vaccine.
